Press ReleaseCertifiedMail adds Healthcare Privacy Lexicon to CertifiedMail Policy Manager Morristown, New Jersey, March 19, 2005 – CertifiedMail, the leader in secure messaging, today announced the addition of a healthcare privacy lexicon to support HIPAA secure email compliance requirements. Integrated into CertifiedMail's Policy Manager, the lexicon enables clients to automatically scan their email messages for sensitive content such as social security numbers, insurance policy information, or specific details about medications, diagnoses or conditions. "Much of the onus for meeting HIPAA privacy requirements falls on technologically unsophisticated users", said Mahesh Muchhala, CertifiedMail President and CEO. "So it's not surprising that many of our clients in healthcare and related fields have asked for additional automatition. Our new healthcare privacy lexicon addresses this need, providing a key piece in the path to achieving a HIPAA-compliant email system." CertifiedMail's Policy Manager integrates with both the Managed Security Service and in-house licensed implementations of the company's Secure Email System. In both cases, the privacy lexicon allows messages containing sensitive content to be delivered to recipients in a secure manner. Built for ease of integration into existing infrastructures as well as rapid customization, the lexicon can be quickly updated to take into account specific words, phrases and patterns such as policy numbers that may be unique to each organization. Additional lexicons are being developed for other privacy-regulated industries including finance and banking. About CertifiedMail Media Contact: |
